New Healthcare Infrastructure Standard recommends Cat 6A Cable
TIA-1179-A is a recent healthcare facility telecommunications infrastructure standard generated by the Telecommunications Industry Association. This revision of the standard is intended to identify the most appropriate copper and fiber optic cable types for a healthcare facility. With ever increasing network demands, it is logical to choose products that will not only meet the current needs of the healthcare facility, but will meet those needs into the foreseeable future. Additionally, some cable types are better suited for healthcare environments where ambient electronic noise, both consistent and intermittent, is likely. Hitachi’s Category 6A 10G-XE and 6A FUTPare ideally suited for use in healthcare environments. And, with a growing number of PoE devices entering the market and the demands of higher throughput wireless networks, Category 6A makes more sense now than ever before. New Power+ Category 5e delivers up to 140 Watts
Hitachi Cable America introduces the new Power+™ Category 5e UTP Cable. Available in a plenum rated construction, the new Category 5e Power+™ supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) and other low voltage power applications up to 140 watts. With 22 AWG conductors, the Power+ cable received an LP (Limited Power) rating of .7 amps from UL. With the highest temperature rating in the industry of 105°C, it can safely support current and future power application with no degradation of the cable due to excessive heat. The Category 5e Power+ cable is eligible for HCA’s Open System Architecture Lifetime Warranty when installed by an HCA certified installer. This cable, as well as all of our high performance cables, is made in the USA at our factory in Manchester, NH.
NanoCore™ fiber optic cables are ideal for 40G & 100G applications.
NanoCore™ fiber optic cables from Hitachi Cable America deliver high strand counts in cables with very small diameters. We now have up to 288 strands of optical fiber in a cable with only a 15.85mm diameter! Utilizing bend-insensitive fibers, the loose tube constructions are ideal for applications where pathway space is limited. Available in armored constructions as well, NanoCore cables are designed for termination to MPO connectors as well as standard LC. NanoCore cables are also perfectly suited for making plug-and-play assemblies.
